Scientific Programme

The scientific programme will begin on Monday, 11 August 2008 at 8.45 hrs with a welcome in the main lecture theatre of the Casino (I.G. Farben Building) followed at 9:00 hrs by a plenary lecture by George Read, Shore Gold Inc. (Canada) opening 9IKC with the exploration and diamond mining session.

The schedule of the daily program is outlined below. The registration desk will be open on Sunday 14.00-19.00 hrs at the Café Juridicum, Campus Bockenheim (see map), and will reopen on Monday morning at 7.30 hrs at the conference venue in the Casino of the I.G. Farben Building, Campus Westend.

The 9IKC scientific sessions are:

There will be 5 plenary lectures given by the invited speakers

Roberta Rudnick University of Maryland, U.S.A.

There will be one oral session with talks of fifteen minutes each, including discussion (3 min). All posters will be on display from Monday, 11 August, 14.00 hrs until Friday, 15 August, 16.00 hrs.

The scientific programme will be accompanied by further plenary lectures by Herman Grutter, Bruce Kjarsgaard, David Fisher and the final talk on Friday afternoon by Roberta Rudnick.

The conference will end with the conference dinner on Friday evening, 15 August 2008, starting at 19.30 hrs at the Bockenheimer Depot.
